Several celebrities serve as pivitol characters in my novel. The most important one is talk show host Ellen DeGeneres. Later on there is fashion mogul Kimora Lee Simmons, and lastly Chris Rock.
The main female character in the novel is Shonte Alston. The other day I was watching television and on one of the commercials was America's Next Top Model alum, Yaya Dacosta (who should have won by the way), and on seeing her it dawned on me that, if I Waited For You were adapted for the screen she would be the perfect Shonte. So, I was moved. I must get my book to her.
